Nampa Public Library trustees are appointed by the Mayor to five year terms. Appointments are confirmed by the Nampa City Council. Board meetings are held at the library on the second Monday of the month, at 4:00 pm. An agenda is posted on the public bulletin board at the library one week before the meeting. Meetings are subject to the Open Meeting law. Minutes of board meetings are permanent records and are kept on file at the library.

Stephen Kren serves as the City Council Representative to the library board.
Friends of the Nampa Public Library is a non-profit, tax-exempt community organization that believes in the importance of the library and its services for people of all ages. We support the growth of library services in Nampa and encourage the use of the library as the community learning, recreation, and information center. Our group is a member of FOLUSA, Friends of Libraries USA.
Friends' dues:
$10 individual; $25, family;
$50, patron; $100 business or sustaining member.

Consortium Libraries:The
LYNX! catalog is a combined online public access catalog for a consortium
of libraries. The system lists over 500,000 books, videos, sound
recordings and other materials. You may check your library record,
place holds on items, and renew items from the Internet connection
to the catalog. Several
of the Treasure Valley libraries have an open access agreement. This
agreement allows Nampa card holders to borrow materials from the following
libraries:
